Sassy Summer Bookmark

Good afternoon my crafties, It's me Cheri here today with a small creation...

My oldest daughter is a bookworm, and I've been wanting to make her some cute bookmarks. So here I've used my curly hair version of Sassy Summer.

Quick and simply cute project (my style lol, and less intimidating) 

Now I know as soon as all my daughters friends see this there will a bunch of lil girls that want a bookmark made for them. So, lol, they will pop up here on the inspiration blog too!!

monday inspiration from DT Rachel

Good morning little Sues! how are you all today? I have just finished breakfast and before starting to put any more work together I have a card to show you!

this one is made using Sassy Summer- straight haired version (you may remember me playing with the curly haired version a while back)

I think she looks awesome in lime green and pink- what do you think?

The papers i have used for this card are from an anita's crab shack pack, I have used the stars, stripes, and kite tails for this card. 

I also have used some black sheer ribbon,

 kraft card,

 plain white card,

 samaflora blossoms

 little sparkly gems 

and a scalloped border. 

I used both a micron pen and a white gel pen to do the faux stitching- I think this has given a fantastic summery look that lends itself to the image beautifully!

Hello there! hope you are all having a good day! 

my project for you this week is one using this image  'Bow Topsy Turvy Cake' 

I made myself work on the theme of black, white, and one other (I like to set myself challenges !)

I have coloured the image using promarkers - burgandy, cardinal and crimson

black, cool grey 5,4,and one

the papers are from papermania and are from the bexley black range,

the cardstock is anna marie black onyx sparkle cardstock.

finished off with a black satin ribbon and some liquid pearls used on opposing corners.

Custom images

Once in awhile I get the honor of helping you create a special image from a special memory of your own. This past week I received a pic of two sisters on their birthday from back in the 70's. A lovely pic with fab outfits back when life was much simpler. I am an 80's baby but I would have loved to have born in the 50's-60's!!! So I was excited to recreate this memory!!! So here a side by side comparison for you all....
