tattoo me up, buttercup!

Hi there! Rachel here with you, and yet another new card project to share!
yep, two blog posts in as many days, aren't you lucky? I'm trying to get as much in as possible before I'm away from my craft area for a couple of days later in the week, and there are so many images that have been calling to me to play with them! today's card is made using 'tattoo baby' from the  Karleigh Suestore,  and is a card I made to utilise some odds and ends of some cardstock and papers.

  IMG_4603[1]

I wanted to use quite a bold image to fit in with the striking paper, (both sides of it are used on this card) and tattoo baby was the perfect girl for the job! I loved colouring in all her tattoos and watching her come to life under my copics! I kept the card layout fairly simple, as with the intense papers, and with the image having lots going on, the simpler the layout the better, so as not to detract from the elements I wanted to pick out!

el gato!

Hi there everyone! Rachel here with you today... It is my turn to share a project today, and I've managed to sneak in a last minute card with the brand new image 'El gato dia de los muertos' that Cheri finished up inking the other day... It's such an awesome image, especially if you are like me and love everything cat, day of the dead, and mardi gras related! gato
I went to town with the copics on this card! there were literally too many to list, as I tried to make it as colourful as possible.. and I had to do 'David Bowie eyes' - every time I can sneak odd coloured eyes into a project I will, as it definitely makes you look! I also added a quote from Bruce Beresford - ' there's a bright spot in every cloud'.... I know he's a cat, not a cloud, but it seemed to fit!

Drinks - Crafting Vicky

I want to start out with wishing you all a wonderful Easter!!!  I hope that you will be surrounded with your loved ones.

I shared with you last time my new passion :)  it really is fun to glue stuff together!!!!  One of my collections for my En masse journaling was Drinks!!!!  And there were lots of fab digis from Karleigh Sue that fit this new page spread!!!

So I thought Poodle skirt for the milkshakes, Pumpkin Spice Latte for the great COFFEE and Just Beer would be perfect to illustrate my favorite drinks!!!  I cropped the images,

And here's the make with the image colored with copics.  The rest is images that I cut out of magazines as well as some sentiments done with my label maker.

Hope you like it!!!  If you want more information you can check out my blog here.

Have a fabulous Sunday and stay creative!!!  Don't forget to check out the store for some fab digis!!!

Baby Bump Art

Hi! I'm Lynda and while I have been with Karleigh Sue since the beginning , this is my very first post on the Inspiration Blog. I am thrilled to now be on this team as well as the challenge DT. If you want to see a bit more of my work you can find my blog here

Today I am sharing with you my take on Baby Bump Art.

I coloured this cutie with a combination of Copics and Promarkers. Unfortunately I can't share the colours I used as I coloured her up ages ago and didn't make a note (doh!), but she only made her way to a card today. I promise to do better next time!!

I kept the card simple, stamping a sentiment with alphabet stamps from Avery Elle and cutting an easel shape out of scrap card. I added some teeny little feet from my buttons box and a congrats banner to finish it off.

Thanks for reading. I can't wait to get cracking and share more Karleigh Sue projects with you over the coming months!

Have a great weekend

Miss Cherry - Crafting Vicky

Ohhhh I'm here to share with you a new passion :)  Yes I have to admit it I just LOVE glueing stuff together!!!!  And this was soooo much fun.  I'm doing a little "en masse" journal collection.  The idea behind this is to collect items and glue them down.  But of course I can't just do that... I need to have a story to tell!  For this layout I was making a collection of glasses!

So I thought Miss Cherry would be totally perfect.  I cropped the image and put her among the glasses.  The images for the glasses come from magazine as well as from pictures online and a little pair of sunglasses that I photographed that belonged to my dad.

And here's the make with the image colored with copics.

Hope you like it!!!  If you want more information you can check out my blog here.

Have a fabulous Wednesday and stay creative!!!  Don't forget to check out the store for some fab digis!!!

Some old Favourites!

Hi there everybody! the team are with you this month to look back on some of their old(er) favourites from the Karleigh Sue shoppe!

First up Jane is using the gorgeous first version of 'poodle skirt
this image has since had a revamp, but both versions are still in store!
unfortunately after a long stretch with us here at Karleigh Sue, Jane will be leaving us later this month.. we wish her all the best for her future endeavours!

GDT Sharon has made this absolutely stunning autumnal journal page using Foxy Lady, don't you absolutely love those russet tones?

I've used one of my absolute favourites, the Topsy Turvy cake (sold in a pack with some other yummy cake digis)
with a vibrant colour scheme to match some of my favourite papers!- Rachel, HBIC

Sue has featured 'mechanic' on this very dapper man's card , I know any of the car tinkerers I know would love to receive this card!

and Crafting Vicky brings us this brilliant 'en masse' journal spread, featuring 'I'm so fancy' amidst a sea of shoes!

for more information, please do check out the ladies own blogs, where they have written up a bit more about their makes, and the processes and materials that went into them!

Feel like a "Pumpkin Spice Latte"??

Hi Everyone

Sharing a card made using a great image from the store "Pumpkin Spice Latte".

I have coloured her with my Derwent Pastel Pencils - in pink of course because I love colouring in pink!

Background paper is from Gecko Galz and was a perfect "coffee" colour for this Latte Gal!

I added a few embellishments to finish off the card including some cloth, string, charm and computer generated "happy birthday" wording!

Lots of fun digis to create with in the store so check it out along with the Facebook Group for sharing as well!
