GDT CALL AT KARLEIGH SUE DIGIS!

Hey there! do you want to have some pin up fun and join the Karleigh Sue Design team as a GDT?

We are currently seeking crafters for our next term, 

starting in January 2016 

The term is 4 months long , and we are searching for crafters for both our inspiration and challenge teams!

CALL RUNNING UNTIL: 21st December 2015

• Inspiration team GDTs will be expected to be able to complete a project for the new release each month and a minimum of one other project, with opportunities to join in with blog hops and inspiration for the fan group challenges on facebook

Challenge team GDTs will be expected to complete inspiration for the challenges on the karleigh sue challenge blog fortnightly, and comment on entries , with opportunities join in with inspiration for the fan group challenges on facebook

Hi there everyone, Rachel here with you today, with some christmassy inspiration in the form of a card made with 'Twinkle Twinkle'!

She is such a cutie isn't she, and I so see myself doing this myself, instead of putting the tree up, which is a job I TOTALLY hate!

Senorita - inspiration post

I wanted to put a different twists on Senorita

So I went with a new year card.. to celebrate with some vivid colour..

Recipe

Skin - Lyra medium flesh, dark flesh

Hair - Lyra burnt ochre, raw umber, dark sepia

Roses - Lyra rose madder lake, Derwent deep fuchsia

Dress - Lyra light green, dark flesh, rose madder lake

I found some backing papers from an old magazine that I liked the colours on so went with those

Cut some spirals from some of the scrap card and rolled 4 flowers.

spiral 2 thin strips of the pink backing card I used.

Printed the greeting and punched out with a circle punch, mat and layered on same papers

November new releases at Karleigh Sue!

It's New Release day!

Good morning you crafty lot! we are very excited to share with you this months new releases!

The inspiration  Design team as ever have done an absolutely fantastic job with their cards and I hope it will fuel your creative juices... and a heads up... the next two challenges on the challenge blog will be PERFECT for the festive image;)

Before we get to all the yummy inspiration, I would like to tell you that there won't be a new release next month.. instead we will be providing as much inspiration for the festive season as we can, all month long. Cheri is working on something top secret right now, which will be worth the wait!

lookin' for me

Hi all 

 Jane here with a  little bit of  inspiration  for you all

 for the Karleigh Sue Inspiration team

The image is  lookin' for me and you can find her here

The card is 6 x 6 and layered with brown card 
and some lovely  papers from my stash

I coloured the image with copics

e29,25 and 21

e77,74 and 71
bg75,72 and 70


I die cut the image round with a matching border
I added 2 rectangles layered with matching papers

I added a  sentiment printed from the computer
and layered with the same  card 
I added die cut borders
and some beautiful die cut flowers 
with gems for their centres

I also added a few gems

Adrianna's owl - Crafting Vicky

I really adore using digis and I decided to use one of them in a little mixed media piece to make to my dad.  He really really loves owls so I decided to use the great Adrianna's owl.

For this make I did a little video for you of my process :)  Hope you like it!  Here it is

looking for me - inspiration post

When I saw this image (Lookin for me?) from Karleigh Sue I immediately thought of my 12x12 nordic paper pack.

So on eventually finding it! I coloured her with co-ordinating colours.

Recipe

Skin - Lyra light flesh, medium flesh

Hair - Lyra raw umber, dark sepia

Hat - Lyra grey green, aquamarine, Derwent ochre (pom pom)

T-shirt/Socks - Lyra grey green, aquamarine

Shorts - Derwent ochre

lips/star tattoo - Lyra indian red

I cut the garland from 1 of the sheets to match the mat and layers

layered each layer on red card to match base card.

Printed the christmas greeting and layered on more of the paper in the set, then on the same red

Thanks A Latte

Hi everyone today I have some Autumn (Fall) inspiration for you with the lovely digi stamp called Pumpkin Spice Latte by Karleigh Sue designs. Quietly between me and you Im really happy with how my colouring turned out. To make my card I started with an orange base card then matted with red and a leafy patterned paper from Stampin Up. I then added some ribbon and an antique brad from Stampin Up. I made the sentiment myself using the computer. I printed out my pumpkin spice digi and coloured with copic markers I then cut her out and popped her up with double sided foam tape.

Here are the colours that I used:
